The Breede River Resort & Fishing Lodge is situated at the mouth of the mighty Breede River, South Africa's largest river estuary.

The Breede River flows into San Sebastian Bay at Witsand, and is well known for the excellent fishing in the river and at sea. The whole area is majestically beautiful with white beaches, open farm lands, a river mouth the size of a lagoon, nature reserves, and a plethora of historical sites.

Fishing on the Mighty Breede River
At the apex of the Tulbagh Valley stands the majestic Sneeuberge (Snowy Mountains) and on its highest slopes they start, the little streams and rivulets splashing down over steps and boulders, through bracken and peat, finally cutting into the raven, which is the very source of the Breërivier (the Broad River).
